Admission
Unlike traditional schools, Montessori schools offer a curriculum that is designed to be covered in three-year time spans (ages 3 to 6). Therefore, parents who enroll their children at Lake Murray Montessori School should be aware that a three-year commitment is recommended so children can derive the fullest possible benefits from our program. Because of this, once a child is enrolled, he/she will remain with the same teacher and classmates for the full three years.
Lake Murray Montessori School admits students of any race, color, religion, or national origin. Children will be accepted between the ages of 2 and 6 years. Children may enter at any time of the year. All children entering the Primary are expected to be fully toilet trained.
Each new student is accepted for a six-week probation period. If he or she is unable to adapt to our classroom procedures or respond to redirection, we may request withdrawal. Parents will be notified immediately if their child is having difficulties, and the staff will make every effort to work cooperatively with each family.
